What you need

Worsted, DK or sport yarn in nearest DMC shades; matching hook; bobbins and yarn needle.

How to begin

1. Chain 77; sc 76 across (US terms).
2. Start at the bottom: odd rows right to left.
3. Ch 1 and turn; the chain does not count. Even rows read left to right. Carry at most 2-3 colours; use bobbins for busy rows.
4. Change on last pull-through; weave in and block.

One square = one sc (US terms). Work the background. Carry at most 2-3 colours. For rows with 4 or more colours, use separate bobbins or add small details later with surface stitches. Yarn amounts are planning estimates; read Finishing & help for setup, rates and other weights.
